Technology Rocks

I love to see technology used as an engaging tool in the classroom. It has come such a long way in the last ten years in the areas of speed and content. The interactivity for kids is outstanding. Websites like Brainpop and United Streaming allow teachers to engage kids in discussion using great video. I recommend a laptop, projector, and speakers. A lot can be done to really keep kids interested and engaged in instruction from pre k to 12.

What are ways that you use technology to engage kids. What are some of your frustrations. Let's help each other out.

HEy Gary. Good topic. after our conversation today, I can tell we share common thoughts on this. In one of our buildings, we purchased a couple Smart boards. With any extra funds, I would suggest getting one on wheels. With the laptop and data projector, most of the hardware is already there. It is a great tool; especially when the students manipulate it to understand the presented concepts.

Take it easy.
